WEEK 1 & 2: MYSELF

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the End of the Lesson the Pupils should able to: -

1.     Say their name one after the other.

2.     Say their names repeatedly, at least 3 times.

Teacher’s Activities: Guide the Pupils through telling them your name. For Example: -

My name is Alpha.

TEACHER TO PUPIL: -

1.     Pupil A: - My Name is Sarah.

2.     Pupil B: - My Name is Mark

Teacher to Pupils

1.     Say, My Name is Sarah.

2.     My Name is Mark.

NOTE: This lesson is a Two Weeks Lesson. Repeat the Activities until the Children are Able to say their names.

In the Next Week of the Class, Guide the Pupils to say their Age. For Example,

1.     My Name is Alpha, I am 10 year old.

Teacher should Guide Pupils to say their names and Ages. Repeatedly do it again.

 

WEEK THREE

TOPIC: MY FAMILY

By the End of the Lesson, pupils should be able to:

1.     Count and Say the Name of Pupils in their Family.

2.     Mention each name of Pupils in their Family.

3.     Recite a Poem on MYSELF.

THE POWER OF INTERCESSORY PRAYER

One of our greatest responsibility as believers is to possess the strength of intercession. In this regard, Peter Wagner summarizes and sees intercession as mediating, going between, pleading for another, representing one party to another for, but not limited to, legal situations. He further addressed among others, that intercession happens in our courts, contractual meetings, offices and business meetings, that there is nothing spiritual about it. Embarrassingly, today pastors intercede on selected individual who contribute earnest to their church development without considering the less privileges. We are talking about gather together for the spiritual fortification, it does not mean making selection nor representing a party according to their wealth. Our churches today likely have much interest on setting up financial governing body than creating teams of intercessor in their various denominations. That is why the church fails to grow in faith and righteousness. It is hardly to see churches spend an hour in interceding, on their sick members and those who have weak spiritual lives but they can take the hold day discussing their financial stabilities. How often do you create services among your weekly activities in the church that will enable your members to come and confess their sins? The bible says in James chapter 5 verse 16 “confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availed much”. I am optimistic that, if our services should reliant on interceding for others then our spiritual life will be fortified by the power of the Holy Spirit and that is the need of the church in this end time.

Ideally, our homes should reflect the teaching of the church in connection with Jesus Christ teaching but most of the churches has a faulty idea of their relationship and that is why loyalty, humility, and consideration among wives and their husbands, children and their parents are lost. Surprisingly, some wives finds it difficult to intercede on their husband’s behalf while praying likewise husbands to their wives. Do you believe that your prayer of intercession is capable of rescuing your spouse who could be endangered by their enemies? Your thoughts should not be one-sided to your own self and abundant the welfare of your partner since both of you have become one. No matter the hatred and difficulty with your marriage. Your prayer is capable of turning everything for good if you trust in God.

Abigail in the bible her story was touching and worth emulating, she was described as a good woman of understanding and of a beautiful countenance but her husband Nabal was churlish and evil in his doings. Abigail could not summited to her husband wrongdoing to King David, she pleaded on his behalf and saved her husband’s people from the snare of death when David came in aggression. Do we have such women in our society today? Majorly, some women viciously involves in plans that can ruin their marriage, it can put their spouse to shame and subject of mockery in the society they live. The church suffers the cruelty behavior which make our gathering impure.

Evidently, there is powerful connection between intercessory prayers with our spiritual life-style. One of the greatest benefits of intercessory prayer in the church is that, it connect the spirit of the church together to be able to realize the spiritual need of the church and people there in.  Job prayed for his friends, and the Lord turned the captivity of Job around (Job 42:10). My beloved reader, what has been your long captivity in this time of adversaries. Hope yet, for there is still hope to overcome your obstacles.  Rev. C. H. Spurgeon delivered a sermon on Sunday, 11^th August, 1861 at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Newington. In his speech, the cleric described the turned around of the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends was as a result of intercessory prayer Job returned to his greatness.
